Mash column Gorilych 50/400/t CLAMP (3 inches) allows the distiller to work in the potstill mode for distilling mash into raw alcohol and obtain aromatic distillates, and in the rectification mode to obtain high-quality alcohol 96.6% with a capacity of up to 2 liters / hour under the following conditions:
- the supplied power should be 2.5-3 kW
- drawers and distillation cube are thermally insulated (thermal insulation is not included in the package and must be purchased separately)
- SPN 3.5*3.5 from wire 0.25 mm in a volume of 4.5 liters are filled in both sides 500 mm long (SPN is not included in the package and is purchased separately)
A powerful 3-inch shell-and-tube cooler with a length of 40 cm, inside of which there are 12 tubes with a bore diameter of 10 mm, makes it possible to utilize up to 10 kW of supplied heating power per distillation cube with relatively small volumes of water consumption (depending on the temperature of the supplied water). A diopter with a built-in liquid take-off unit allows the user to set the column to a “pre-flooded” state, which will increase the separating ability of the column, which will allow 96.6% alcohol to be removed at high speed. The combination of liquid take off and 2-in-1 diopter simplifies column assembly and reduces the number of fittings. The jacket-type aftercooler has a diameter of 25 mm and a length of 350 mm, which indicates its high performance. For operation in potstill and distillation modes, two 90-degree outlets have been added to this package, one of which has a fitting for a thermometer, a powerful 3-inch shell-and-tube reflux condenser 20 cm long, inside which there are 12 tubes with a through diameter of 10 mm.
The distillation cube for 30 liters under the heating element has an easy-to-use cover of 350 mm and a flat induction bottom of the "sandwich" type, therefore it is suitable for use on stoves of all types and sizes, incl. induction. The presence of a 2-inch flange allows the installation of heating elements with the appropriate size and different capacities to reduce the heating time of the primary wort and reduce energy costs. Also, a drain ball valve is installed in the distillation still for safe and convenient discharge of stillage after the end of the rectification process.
